The framing has gone up for a credit union’s new corporate office and branch at the northeast corner of Southern Home Road and South Byhalia Road in Collierville.
Construction is ongoing for Southern Security Federal Credit Union’s new $7 million, roughly 20,000-square-foot corporate headquarters and member services branch. The project is located on a 1.53-acre site at 819 Southern Home Road and is expected to be completed by summer 2025.
The credit union’s new HQ and branch in Collierville is slated to be roughly 13,000 square feet bigger than Southern Security’s 6,800-square-foot current corporate office at 765 W. Poplar Ave., also in Collierville.
The new facility is set to include corporate employee workspaces and training facilities, in-person member services support facilities and in-person, electronic drive-thru financial services support, along with a dedicated coffee service area for members and employees.
Southern Security has four branches in the Memphis area. They are in Collierville, Bartlett, Chickasaw Gardens and Southaven. It also has an ATM-only location in Hickory Hill and an ATM and PTM (Personal Teller Machine) at Le Bonheur Children’s Foundation Research Center.
