DETROIT — A construction crew doing work on a house off Woodingham Street discovered human remains Monday, leading to a police investigation, according to Fox 2 Detroit. Police were called to the home Monday afternoon where the partially buried and partially decomposed remains were found near a garage on the property.
Police say no one is living in the house on the property and that the body was wrapped in some sort of tarp or carpeting. The remains were found when crews noticed a foot and a shin sticking out of the ground.
Because of the cold temperatures, an excavator will need to be used to dig out the remains.
