Jump into projects this spring with help from Kiwanis Club of Escanaba’s Home & Garden Show | Local News

ESCANABA, Mich. (WBUP/WJMN) — It’s that time of year where you might be itching to make some changes inside and outside your home. Escanaba Kiwanis Club is holding their annual Home & Garden Show April 4-6 at the UP State Fairgrounds.

Whether you’re looking to add that hot tub you’ve always dreamed of, update your windows, or start a garden, there’s vendors, contactors and demonstrations that might just help you find what you’re looking for to spruce your place up.

“We’ll have vendors come in and have displays of various home, gardening, home decor, all sorts of different things,” said Mike Markwell, Kiwanis member. “We have roofing vendors, pest control companies, we have all sorts of different contractors there if you’re looking for major work to be done on your house.”

Admission to the Home & Garden Show is free, but throughout the weekend there will be the Kiwanis Club’s Pancake Breakfast at the show which helps them continue giving back to organizations in the Escanaba area.

“We raise about $18,000 to $20,000 off of this, and then we spend it throughout the following year,” said Dennis Pearson, Kiwanis member. “One of the main things we spend our money on is we sponsor the Escanaba High School Key Club, which is a high school service organization. We get requests from different places throughout the community, and then we look at them and see if it’s within our scope and then decide whether we want to give some of the money to them and how much.”

Friday 4/4 – 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. 

Saturday 4/5 – 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. 

• Family night – 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. 

Sunday 4/6 – 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
